On 15 – 19 July 2024, five members of the Re-imagining Reproduction team attended the Best Practice in Engagement and Culture Symposium hosted at the Watershed Arts Centre in Bristol. The symposium brought together the eight projects that received the Wellcome Trust Research Development Award (RDA).

The aim of the symposium was to discuss challenges and successes encountered by the various projects, share ideas and provide an opportunity for networking. The four-day symposium included interactive sessions, keynote conversations and many group activities. There were also posters that described the various projects, giving the teams an opportunity to showcase their projects. 

Practices of rest, openness and care were embedded in all activities thanks to the facilitators of the symposium, Project Susegad. This echoed Wellcome’s commitment to nurturing an inclusive, ethical and supportive research ecosystem.
